With three different gain modes – Vintage, Tight and Heavy – its range extends from dynamic low-gain drive and classic fuzz to tighter modern distortion and massive, sustain-rich high-gain sounds. The Disruption control covers a wide gain range, making it equally suitable for more subtle drive tones and heavy doom and fuzz sounds. For shaping your tone, it features an active Bass and Treble EQ with up to 15 dB of boost or cut, plus a separate parametric Mid EQ. The mids can be activated with their own footswitch, while the center frequency is fully adjustable. You can even control this frequency with an expression pedal for wah-like or phaser-style sweeps while playing. In addition, the Top-Boost adds extra bite and harmonics, while the Clean Blend can be positioned before or after the EQ to retain definition and a tight low end at extreme gain settings. Thanks to its stacked headroom topology, the CHIEF DISRUPTOR also provides plenty of output without sacrificing the punch of the active EQ. Internal trimpots offer additional control over the Mid Q and Top-Boost level. The pedal features relay-based soft switching with true bypass, runs on a standard 9V DC center-negative power supply, and is built in Berlin.
