Rather than simply adding a short delay or chorus effect, GEMINUS uses KMA’s AI-powered True Double Tracker (TDT) technology to recreate the subtle timing differences between two separately recorded performances. The result is a wider, thicker sound that feels as if the same part has actually been played twice – ideal for both live performance and recording. The WIDTH control determines how widely the original and doubled signals are spread across the stereo field. The TIME control adjusts how tight or loose the doubled performance sounds in relation to the original, while LEVEL sets the balance between the two signals. The PITCH switch also lets you add subtle or more pronounced pitch variations to the doubled part. GEMINUS can be used in both mono and stereo setups and offers several routing options via its TRS connections, including mono-in/stereo-out for creating a wide stereo image from a single instrument. Despite its advanced internal processing – including 32-bit processing – GEMINUS remains easy to operate and compact enough for almost any pedalboard. Its connections are top-mounted, and the pedal features silent relay-based switching. You can choose between true bypass and buffered bypass, with KMA shipping the pedal in buffered mode by default for optimum signal integrity.
