Browne Amplification Alkene

Browne Amplification Alkene Overdrive is inspired by the classic “Nashville” overdrive tones found on the pedalboards of top session players. Browne Amplification has taken that familiar, organic feel and refined it into a highly versatile, dynamic overdrive with enhanced control and expression.

Key Features
• Organic, musical clipping combined with smooth, amp-like compression for a natural playing response
• Optimized gain range so every position of the Gain control is musically usable
• Restored midrange presence and tighter low end for improved clarity and punch without muddiness
• Perfect for crunchy rhythm tones with excellent chord definition, as well as expressive, singing lead tones when pushed harder
• Enhances thinner or tight backline amplifiers by adding low-mid warmth and subtle “sag” sensitivity

Tonal Flexibility
The pedal includes several switching options to shape your sound without overcomplicating your setup:
• Asymmetrical Clipping (external switch): Choose between symmetrical soft clipping or asymmetrical soft clipping for a more open, punchy feel with reduced compression
• More Clip (internal switch): Engages additional hard-clipping diodes for increased bite, aggression, and gain
• Low Cut (internal switch): Selectively reduces low frequencies to better suit rigs with abundant bass response
