Two Notes Torpedo Captor X Pro

Two notes Captor X Pro is an advanced multi-impedance reactive load box, programmable attenuator and stereo DI designed for guitarists who want maximum control over their amplifier, both live and in the studio. Developed in partnership with Ampete Engineering, the Captor X Pro supports 4, 8 and 16 Ohm amplifiers with power handling up to 150 watts.

Its programmable passive attenuator uses an auto-transformer design and provides multiple fixed attenuation levels, all the way down to complete silence. You can also choose between two reactive load voicings – Natural and Presence – and a Resistive mode to further shape the response, attack and feel of the connected amplifier.

For direct recording and live use, the Captor X Pro features Two notes’ DynIR technology with True Stereo and Dual Mono cabinet simulation. It includes 24 DynIR cabinets, eight microphone choices per cabinet and twelve studio-grade room simulations. The unit can also operate as a stereo IR loader, with 512 memory slots for custom IR files.

A color display, rotary encoders and 128 presets provide immediate access to its settings, while Torpedo Remote offers extensive control from a computer, tablet or mobile device via USB or wireless connectivity.

It also offers extensive connectivity, including a mono pre-FX loop, stereo post-FX loop, stereo Line/DI outputs and headphone monitoring for completely silent playing. The pre-FX return can also function as a line input for an external preamp or modeler, while the pre-FX send can be repurposed as an unprocessed Amp DI. USB-C and MIDI make it easy to integrate into more advanced rigs. The Captor X Pro also includes GENOME Captor X Pro Edition and the Series-C collection of 24 DynIR Virtual Cabinets.
