The Walrus Audio Fundamental Lo-Fi Delay gives classic delay sounds a worn, imperfect, and character-filled edge. From bright repeats with subtle pitch shifts to dark, floating soundscapes and rhythmic multi-tap echoes: with three different delay modes, this pedal offers a surprising range of possibilities.

Thanks to the simple controls—three sliders for Time, Feedback, and Mix—you can quickly find the right balance between subtle lo-fi textures and distinct ambient sounds.

Use the three-position switch to choose between AM, Murk, and Echo. AM delivers clear, slowly decaying repeats with harmonic distortion and wow-and-flutter modulation, while Murk creates dark, saturated echoes that develop into a thick, moving cloud. Echo is an analog-style multi-tap delay that takes on almost the character of a reverb at short delay times and produces rhythmic, hypnotic patterns at longer settings.

Despite its simple design, the Fundamental Lo-Fi Delay offers useful features for both home and stage use. The maximum delay time is one second, and the footswitch provides tap tempo with quarter-note, dotted-eighth, and eighth-note divisions. In addition, you can choose whether the delay repeats fade out naturally after the pedal is turned off via Trails Mode or are cut off immediately. The pedal features buffered bypass and is powered by 9V DC (not included).
